



Bigler Sports in partnership with the American Cancer Society, Bi-County Special Olympics and St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, is proud to present the first annual “Ultimate Sports Spectacular!”
On Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 6:30 PM both girls and boys age 12 through 16 will have the chance to compete in a variety of sports challenges. There will be competition in Baseball, Fastpitch Softball, Basketball and Football. Also, Special Olympics girls and boys of any age will compete in track & field and obstacle course events throughout the day.
Music, food, prizes, pictures, autographs, awards and celebrity appearances will make this day one you won’t want to miss!
With your $100 registration/donation to the American Cancer Society, each participant will receive an event t-shirt, two dinner tickets, 10 raffle tickets and certificate of participation. The first 100 registrants before April 30th will receive one extra dinner ticket (three total dinner tickets) and 10 extra raffle tickets (20 total raffle tickets). This is an additional $30 value.

Dinner - The USS event activities will conclude at 5:00 PM with the dinner and closing ceremonies to follow from 5:00-6:30 PM. Registered participants will be given their dinner tickets at the registration table when they check-in for the USS event in the morning. The first 100 participants to register before April 30th will receive one extra dinner ticket (three total). All spectators and guests may purchase a dinner ticket on the day of the event at the registration tents located on the NW corner of the campus. Individual dinner tickets will cost $20 and includes attendance at the closing ceremonies award presentation and guest speaker’s closing comments. We hope you join us on May 12th at the “Ultimate Sports Spectacular!”
Raffle - Participants, spectators and guests will have the opportunity to win one or more of the many raffle prizes and gift boxes that will be given away at the “Ultimate Sports Spectacular!” The first 100 participants to register before April 30th will receive 10 raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets may purchased thoughout the day and will be available at the registration tent located on the NW corner of the campus. Raffle items will be on display in the registration tent throughout the day. We will close the raffle prior to the dinner (5:00pm) and winners will be announced during dinner. Please have your raffle tickets in hand for confirmation of the winning prize. Raffle tickets may be purchased throughout the day at the registration tent located near the football field.

Parking for the "Ultimate Sports Spectacular!" will be held on the NW corner of St. John's Northwestern Military Academy on the football practice fields. Parking will be $10 per car (cash only) and will be collected upon entry of the grounds. Signage and volunteers will direct all guests from Hwy C to the designated parking areas. Please review the event map prior to May 12, 2012.
Each participant will try and score as many points as possible while competing in three different events. Pitching – Each athlete will receive six attempts to hit the designated “Strike Zone” and will accumulate points for each successful throw. The sixth attempt will be with a special ball and if successful will receive double the points. Each age group will throw a regulation hard ball and throw from 60 feet 6 inches. Hitting – Each athlete will receive three attempts off of a batting tee. Each hit will be measured for distance and accuracy and only the best of the three attempts will be applied towards the athlete’s total score. Running – Each athlete will be given one attempt to record their speed from second base to home plate

Hitting – Each athlete will receive three attempts off of a batting tee. Running – Each athlete will be given one attempt to measure their speed from second base to home plate.
Each participant will try and score as many points as possible while competing in three different events. Punting – Each athlete will receive three attempts to punt the ball down the field. Each punt will be measured for distance and accuracy and only the best one of the three attempts will be applied towards the athlete’s total score. Passing – Each athlete will receive three attempts to pass the football down the field. Each pass will be measured for distance and accuracy and only the best one of the three attempts will be applied towards the athlete’s total score. Kicking – Each Athlete will receive three attempts off of a kicking tee to kick the football down the field. Each kick will be measured for distance and accuracy and only the best one of the three attempts will be applied towards the athlete’s total score.
Each participant will try and score as many points as possible while competing in three different events. Free Throw Shooting – Each athlete will receive 45 seconds to make as many free throws as possible from the regulation free throw line. Three of the basketballs being used will be “special balls” and will receive double the point value if converted successfully. Three Point Shooting – Each athlete will receive 45 seconds to make up to five three point shots from five different angles on the floor. One of the five basketballs from each angle will be a “special ball” and will receive double the point value if converted successfully. Dribbling Contest – Each athlete will receive one attempt to see how quickly they can dribble the basketball through an obstacle course running the length of the basketball floor and back. Total time will be recorded.
